PLANT A TREE

Plant a Tree, 2022  was organized as a part of the World Environment Day celebration on the campus. On June 5th morning, students from our department collected a tree sapling and planted it in the Miyawaki forest on the campus. Fr. Raphael Stinil, Head of the department, Ms. Niya Joy and Ms. Jisna Johnson were present at the occasion. It was an initiative by the students of the 2021-’24 batch. Fr. Raphael Stinil gave a felicitation follow by that, students planted the sapling. Ms. Niya Joy and Ms. Jisna Johnson appreciated the students for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to plant more trees and save nature for a better future. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Joyal Jose, Mr. Kiran Anil and Mr. Antony Anoop of 2021-’24 batch. 

History of Sound Media - Webinar

The department of Broadcasting and Journalism conducted a webinar on 11th October 2021 for the first year students. RJ Ms. Archana Sankar, Coordinator, Radio Neythal 107.8 FM station, Alappuzha, came in as the resource person. She talked about the history of sound media and it was a fruitful interactive session. The webinar was organized and conducted by Asst. Prof Ms Ancy CA, Deputy Dean of Academics and Faculty, Department of Computer Science, Asst. Prof. Mr. Stalin PC, Nodal Officer for B.Voc. programmes and faculty of department of Economics and Asst. Prof Ms. Niya Joy, Department of Broadcasting and Journalism.

Schola Brevis-Deeksharambh 2021

‘Schola Brevis-Deeksharambh 2021’, Phase 3, Department level orientation for the first-year students of Department of Broadcasting and Journalism was conducted on September 28th, 30th and October 1st.

On 28th September 2021, Assistant Professor Mr. Stalin PC, Nodal Officer for B Voc Programmes and Faculty, Department of Economics, St. Paul’s College joined the orientation session as the speaker. He discussed about the ‘Carriculum Aspects of B Voc Courses’.

On 30th September 2021, Assistant Professor Ms. Nikhitha Shaji Thomas, HOD, Department of Journalism and PRO, St. Albert’s College came in as the resource person for the orientation. She discussed about the ‘Scope and Opportunities of Broadcasting and Journalism’.

On 1st October 2021, Assistant Professor Ms. Krishnendu R, Faculty, Department of Journalism, St. Albert’s College came in as the resource person. She discussed about the ‘Basics of Broadcast Journalism’.
